Introduction

Central Library was started in 1992 from a single room in Prayaas building Sector 38 Chandigarh. Library gave its services to users from three locations at Prayaas building Sectoir 38, Sarai building (O Block) sector 32, and Hospital building (A Block) Sector 32 from 1994 to 1999. Library at these three places moved to one place in B Block, GMCH in 2000. Further Library expanded and shifted to Academic Block (E Block) at 6^th floor and is functioning from here since 2016.

The fully centralized AC library serves the academic and information needs of its user through its rich collection of print as well as online resources /databases with seating capacity of 400 users. The fully automated library has various sections like Book Section, Journal Section, Computer Lab, Audio Visual Section, Bound Volume section. Separate hall and three reading rooms are there for students to study with their personal books. The main aim of library is to provide rich knowledge to its users.
