Welcome to the Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh, website. Chandigarh, an educational hub with many institutions of national and international repute, lacked an undergraduate medical institution which has been fulfilled with the establishment of this institution. Started in 1991 with an intake of 50 students, it now has been increased to 100 from year 2013. Students are selected solely on the basis of merit through a competitive exam.Our emphasis is to provide teaching and training facilities of an exceptionally high standard to the medical students.
