SERVICES
Provides outdoor and indoor
services, to patients admitted in the Obst. & Gynae department.
Excels in the management of high risk and IUGR pregnancies
with facilities to have intensive electronic and bio physical foetal monitoring
.
Own ultrasound with transvaginal probe
for prenatal diagnosis, ovulation studies etc.
Various endoscopy procedures like colposcopy, hysteroscopy and
laproscopy
Efficient services in the field of family welfare including
termination of pregnancy and sterilization
Runs special clinics in the field of infertility, paediatrics,
adolescent gynaecology and menopause and IUI.
Department maintain monthly labour room, perinatal and
maternal data statistic.
RESEARCH
& TRAINING
Active innterest in the field of academics and its faculty and
staff has presented and published more than 70 papers in various journals of National and
International reputes.
Organised one day North Zone Gynae Conference in September
2004
To keep abreast with new knowledge, the department holds weekly
journal club, clinical meeting and staff lecture.
Provides excellent teaching and training in the
field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology to the undergraduate students with the help
of model, charts, dolls & dummy , specimen with multi media teaching.
Conducted MTP Training programme for Medical Officers
through WHO/ GOI projects.
Sanction has been granted to the
project entitled, "Increasing awareness against female foeticide adn decreasing
female to male sex ratio in UT, Chandigarh to the college students (future
parents)" by the Governement of India
